Timothy R. S. Harward, M.D. performs all aspects of vascular surgery. He chose a career in vascular surgery because of its technical challenges, and because the field enables him to work with all aspects of the population. This specific field also provides Dr. Harward with instant knowledge of his procedures’ success or failure. Dr. Harward maintains special interests in mesenteric vascular diseases, and endovascular repair of thoracic and infrarenal aorta aneurysms.

Dr. Harward received his medical degree from Duke University Medical School in Durham, North Carolina. He then started his general surgery residency at University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia, followed by a Vascular Surgery Research Fellowship at University of California, San Diego, and Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in La Jolla, California. After that Dr. Harward completed his general surgery residency at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia, followed by a Vascular Surgery Clinical Fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois.

When he’s not working, Dr. Harward enjoys swimming, running, cycling (i.e., triathlon events), golf, gardening and spending time with his wife and children.
